What causes body aches all over?
Recently, I have been experiencing body aches all over, without having performed any strenuous exercise or suffered any injuries. The soreness has persisted for several days and is seriously affecting my daily life. I would like to know what could be causing this and how I can resolve it.
General body aches can be caused by various factors, commonly including strenuous exercise, lack of sleep, poor nutrition, colds, and chronic diseases.
After intense physical activity, especially running, increased lactic acid production in the muscles may lead to muscle soreness. This is usually due to rhabdomyolysis and lactic acid buildup. Insufficient rest prevents the body from adequately recovering, which can also result in generalized body aches. Deficiencies in essential nutrients such as vitamin D, calcium, and magnesium, or an imbalance of electrolytes in the body, may also cause muscle pain.
In daily life, excessive fatigue can weaken the immune system, potentially leading to cold symptoms and subsequently causing body aches. Chronic conditions such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease may also present with generalized body aches. Additionally, osteoporosis, rheumatoid and other rheumatic diseases, and malignant tumors can also result in whole-body pain.
It is recommended to seek timely medical attention for a comprehensive physical examination and necessary laboratory tests to determine the exact cause and receive appropriate treatment.
