Is viral urticaria serious?
Recently, I contracted viral urticaria, and I've developed many rashes all over my body that are very itchy. I'm a bit worried and would like to ask if this condition is serious. Could there be any other problems associated with it?

Viral urticaria is generally not considered a serious health issue.
The main characteristics of viral urticaria are red, swollen, itchy patches or bumps appearing on the skin. These rashes can emerge and disappear rapidly, lasting from several minutes to hours. This indicates that viral urticaria is self-limiting, meaning the disease will spontaneously stop and gradually resolve after reaching a certain stage. In addition, although this condition may be accompanied by significant itching and hivelike rashes, it typically does not cause permanent damage to the body.
Patients with viral urticaria can alleviate symptoms through basic self-care measures, including avoiding known allergens and irritants, wearing loose-fitting cotton clothing, and keeping the skin clean and dry. Physicians will also develop individualized treatment plans according to each patient's specific condition, which may include the use of antihistamine medications, antiviral medications, etc., to relieve symptoms and control disease progression.
During treatment, patients should ensure adequate rest and maintain a balanced diet and nutrition intake to support immune system recovery.
