In the absence of an allergy history and with moderate use, applying aloe vera gel to the face generally does not have negative effects on the fetus. Aloe vera gel is a naturally derived product extracted from aloe vera, primarily containing aloe extract. It has moisturizing, soothing, and skin-repairing properties. Its components are relatively safe and typically do not cause direct adverse effects on pregnant women or their fetuses. The vitamins and amino acids in aloe vera gel can also help hydrate the skin and improve common skin issues during pregnancy, such as dryness.

Pregnant women should initially apply the product on a small area of skin to check for allergic reactions such as redness, swelling, or itching before first-time use. If allergic to aloe vera or any ingredients in aloe vera gel, it should be avoided to prevent allergic reactions that may affect fetal health. When purchasing aloe vera gel, choose reputable brands and reliable quality products to avoid using inferior or counterfeit items, which may cause unnecessary skin irritation or damage. Although aloe vera gel is relatively safe, pregnant women should also avoid excessive use. Overuse may burden the skin and potentially trigger skin problems.
