Eating two eggs a day typically does not cause high blood lipid levels. Eggs are highly nutritious foods containing abundant protein, vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients; moderate consumption is beneficial to health. The fat content in eggs is relatively low, mainly concentrated in the yolk, but even the fat content of the yolk is not sufficient to cause a significant increase in blood lipids. However, if your daily diet already includes substantial amounts of high-cholesterol foods, such as organ meats and fatty meats, then additional egg consumption might increase the risk of abnormal blood lipids.

For healthy adults, consuming 1 to 2 eggs daily is safe. For individuals aiming to maintain healthy lipid levels, in addition to moderate egg consumption, attention should also be given to increasing intake of vegetables, fruits, and whole grains while reducing consumption of high-fat, high-cholesterol foods such as organ meats, fatty meats, and fried foods. Regular aerobic exercise, such as brisk walking, jogging, and swimming, can help promote lipid metabolism and lower blood lipid levels. Monitoring your lipid levels, undergoing regular physical exams, and promptly identifying and managing lipid abnormalities are also important.
