Stomach pain, also known as abdominal pain, may occur in some women during the first month of pregnancy, although this is not common. The nature and cause of the pain need to be analyzed on a case-by-case basis. Abdominal pain during early pregnancy may be caused by various factors. On one hand, due to embryo implantation and gradual enlargement of the uterus, some sensitive individuals might experience mild abdominal discomfort or aching, which is usually considered a normal physiological phenomenon and generally not a cause for concern. On the other hand, abdominal pain could also be related to abnormal conditions such as threatened miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy. In these cases, the pain is often more severe and accompanied by symptoms like vaginal bleeding, requiring prompt medical evaluation. Additionally, gastrointestinal diseases or urinary tract infections can also cause abdominal pain in pregnant women and need to be carefully differentiated.

When experiencing abdominal pain during early pregnancy, pregnant women should remain calm and pay attention to the nature of the pain and any associated symptoms. If the pain is mild and temporary without other discomfort, it can be considered a normal physiological response and can be relieved with appropriate rest. However, if the pain persists or worsens, or if associated symptoms such as vaginal bleeding, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, frequent urination, urgency, or painful urination occur, prompt medical attention is necessary.
