Disease description:

I found out during a physical exam that my urinary microalbumin level is 30mg/24h. I'm very worried and don't know whether this condition can resolve on its own. I'd prefer not to take medications or undergo complicated treatments. Is there any way to return this indicator to normal?

In general, whether microalbuminuria at 30 mg/24h can resolve on its own mainly depends on its specific cause. If it is caused by physiological factors, it usually can return to normal spontaneously. However, if it is caused by pathological factors, it generally will not resolve without medical intervention.

If the elevated urine microalbumin is due to physiological reasons such as intense exercise, fever, or stress, the level of urinary microalbumin may naturally decline once these factors are removed. Usually, no specific treatment is required; however, adequate rest, avoiding strenuous exercise, maintaining emotional stability, and regular follow-up urinalysis are recommended.

However, if microalbuminuria is caused by chronic diseases such as diabetes or hypertension, it may not resolve on its own. In such cases, patients need timely medical consultation and professional diagnosis and treatment to control disease progression and protect kidney function.

In daily life, it is recommended to engage in regular moderate physical activities such as walking, swimming, or cycling, which can help control body weight, lower blood pressure, and thus reduce the burden on the kidneys.
