Under normal circumstances, Dengtaiye Granules may have side effects on children.

Dengtaiye Granules are a traditional Chinese medicine preparation, with the main ingredient being Dengtaiye (Alstonia scholaris leaf), which has functions of clearing heat and detoxifying, dispelling wind and removing dampness, relieving lung congestion, eliminating phlegm, and alleviating cough and heat symptoms. It is commonly used to treat diseases such as upper respiratory tract infections, acute bronchitis, chronic bronchitis with cough, and whooping cough. When taken according to medical instructions, at the proper time and dosage, it generally does not cause significant side effects in children.

However, the medication may irritate the gastrointestinal mucosa. If taken in excessive amounts or if the child is sensitive to the ingredients, some adverse reactions may occur. These reactions may include gastrointestinal discomfort, such as nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. Additionally, long-term or excessive use might increase the burden on the liver and kidneys and potentially affect their function.

Before administering Dengtaiye Granules to children, it is best to consult a pediatrician first to ensure safe medication use. Also, closely monitor the child's response, and if any adverse reactions occur, seek medical attention promptly.
