How to Treat Myopia
I have had myopia since childhood, and the degree has been increasing over time, causing significant inconvenience in my daily work and life. I heard that there are now many methods available to treat myopia, and I would like to know which one is suitable for me?

The common methods for treating myopia generally include wearing glasses or contact lenses. This is the most common and cost-effective approach. It is recommended that adolescents undergo regular vision examinations, and once myopia is detected, they should have their vision checked and wear glasses as soon as possible to prevent rapid progression of myopia.
In recent years, refractive surgeries such as laser correction surgeries (LASIK, LASEK, etc.) and implantable collamer lens (ICL) procedures have become popular options for treating myopia. These surgeries correct vision by reshaping the cornea or lens, and are suitable for adults whose myopia has stabilized. However, these procedures carry certain risks and must be performed under the guidance of a qualified physician.
In daily life, maintaining good eye habits, such as avoiding prolonged near-eye work, ensuring adequate sleep and appropriate rest, can help prevent and alleviate myopia. When reading or using electronic devices, take a 5- to 10-minute break every 45 minutes to an hour to look into the distance and relax the eyes. Maintaining correct reading posture and engaging in sufficient outdoor activities also have positive effects in preventing myopia.
