Possible causes of fever in children include environmental factors, infections, and neurological diseases.

Excessive fatigue, activity in high-temperature environments, drug reactions, and teething can also cause an increase in a child's body temperature. Common causes are infections, including viral colds, pharyngitis, otitis media, pneumonia, and urinary tract infections. These infections, caused by either bacteria or viruses, can lead to an imbalance in the body's temperature regulation center, resulting in fever. Additionally, reactions following vaccination may also cause temporary fever.

Neurological infections such as meningitis and encephalitis can also cause fever in children. These conditions are often accompanied by symptoms such as poor mental status and frequent vomiting. Parents should closely monitor associated symptoms such as persistent high fever, vomiting, rash, drowsiness, and difficulty breathing, and seek timely medical attention. Mild fever can be relieved through physical cooling methods, adequate rest, and sufficient hydration.

If a child develops a fever, parents are advised to seek timely medical consultation for accurate diagnosis and treatment. In daily life, it is important to ensure adequate fluid intake, allow appropriate rest, and promote recovery.
