I've been trying to conceive for over half a year without success. During examination, it was found that my fallopian tubes are curved but patent. I'm really puzzled. Is it still possible for me to get pregnant naturally with this condition? What should I pay attention to?

In general, it is possible to become pregnant if the fallopian tubes are curved but unobstructed.

A certain degree of tubal curvature is considered normal, as fallopian tubes are not straight channels but rather structures with natural bends. As long as the egg and sperm can meet and combine successfully within the fallopian tube, and the resulting embryo can move normally through the tube to implant in the uterine cavity, pregnancy remains possible.

However, if the curvature of the fallopian tubes exceeds the normal range or is accompanied by other abnormalities such as inflammation or adhesions, it may interfere with the meeting and fertilization of the egg and sperm, as well as the embryo's movement toward the uterus, thereby reducing the likelihood of pregnancy. Additionally, excessive tubal curvature may increase the difficulty of fertilization and may also hinder normal embryo migration, leading to decreased fertility or an increased risk of ectopic pregnancy. If symptoms of ectopic pregnancy occur, such as abdominal pain or other related signs, prompt medical attention is necessary.

Before attempting conception, it is recommended to undergo a comprehensive gynecological examination to assess the function and condition of the fallopian tubes, thereby enhancing the chances of a successful pregnancy.
