How to Determine if You Have Contracted Influenza A
I haven't been feeling well lately, and quite a few people around me have contracted influenza A. I would like to know through which symptoms or indicators I can determine whether I also have influenza A.

Influenza A, also known as type A flu, can be diagnosed based on clinical symptoms, medical history, and laboratory tests.
The symptoms of influenza A are similar to those of the common cold but are usually more severe. They include high fever, chills, headache, muscle and joint pain, extreme fatigue, dry cough, sore throat, and nasal congestion. If you experience these symptoms, especially a persistent high fever, seek medical attention promptly for professional examination and diagnosis. A doctor may perform a throat swab test to determine whether you are infected with the influenza A virus.
The patient will be asked whether they had close contact with anyone diagnosed with influenza A or have recently lived in or traveled to areas experiencing an influenza A outbreak. Respiratory secretions will be collected for testing. A positive test result indicates infection with the influenza A virus. Further analysis of the components of these secretions can isolate the influenza A virus, confirming the infection.
Once diagnosed with influenza A, patients should follow their doctor's guidance regarding appropriate medication and ensure adequate rest, hydration, and proper nutritional intake.
