Dr. Zhou Xiaofeng

Frequent nosebleeds in children may be a sign of diseases such as sinusitis. Upper respiratory tract infections are the main cause of acute sinusitis, and bacterial and viral infections can occur concurrently. Medications such as fluticasone propionate nasal spray or Tongqiao Rhinitis granules may be used for treatment. Chronic sinusitis usually involves simultaneous involvement of multiple sinuses and can be treated with endoscopic sinus surgery, adenoidectomy, and other methods. If nosebleeds occur, it is important to seek medical examination promptly in order to receive targeted treatment after a clear diagnosis. The nasal septum is the most common site of bleeding; clean gauze or soft tissue paper can be used to pack the child's nasal cavity for pressure hemostasis. After the bleeding stops, observe for more than one hour before removing the packing material.
