Symptoms of Meningitis in Children
Disease description:
My child has a headache. Could it be meningitis? What are the symptoms of this disease?

Meningitis in children may present symptoms such as sensitivity to bright light, nausea, vomiting, headache, and fever. If not treated promptly, it may lead to complications such as hearing impairment and shock. This disease may be contagious; therefore, frequent outings are not recommended. Treatment may include medications such as amoxicillin granules and acyclovir tablets, under a doctor's guidance. Vaccination is advised after recovery.
