When a child develops a fever from insect bites, it is generally because the bite has lowered the child's immunity, making the body's resistance weaker and more susceptible to other infections. Appropriate fever-reducing measures can be taken, and some anti-allergy ointments, such as Baby Balm or Calamine Lotion, can be applied to the bite area. You may also give the child antihistamine medication, such as Loratadine Syrup. If the bite site is infected with bacteria, oral Amoxicillin Granules can be administered for anti-infective treatment.
