Insect bite dermatitis may present as localized blisters after mosquito bites. If the aforementioned situation occurs, scratching repeatedly must be avoided to prevent creating a vicious cycle and worsening the condition. The affected area can be disinfected externally with iodophor or 75% alcohol, followed by application of hydrocortisone butyrate cream (twice to three times daily). Additionally, Chuanbai antipruritic lotion may be used concurrently for itch relief. Symptoms generally resolve completely within 3 to 7 days.
