What causes coughing in infants?
Disease description:
My baby started coughing yesterday. I would like to ask what might be the cause?

A baby's cough may be caused by not keeping the body warm enough in daily life, leading to a cold, or it may result from an upper respiratory tract infection. If the cough is due to a cold, medication such as Pediatric Paracetamol, Chlorpheniramine, and Amantadine Granules may be taken under a doctor's guidance. If it is caused by an upper respiratory tract infection, anti-inflammatory treatment with medications like Cefixime Granules may be followed as directed by a physician. However, please note that Cefixime Granules should only be used in babies older than 6 months.
