My son has an allergic constitution and was bitten by mosquitoes. After being bitten, the area becomes increasingly swollen, and after scratching, it becomes purulent. I would like to know what to do if a child's mosquito bite gets scratched open?

First, perform local disinfection if a child scratches a mosquito bite until it bleeds. Use a cotton swab dipped in water to gently wipe away bloodstains, then apply iodophor and alcohol to achieve local disinfection. Secondly, apply lincomycin lidocaine gel in a timely manner. Lincomycin lidocaine gel has effects of relieving itching, alleviating pain, and preventing infection. Lidocaine is an anesthetic that provides significant pain and itch relief, while lincomycin is an antibiotic that can effectively prevent secondary bacterial infections in children. However, this medication is suitable only for children older than one month; it is not recommended for use in newborns.
