What should be done if a child with pneumonia experiences recurring fever after infection?
My niece's child recently developed pneumonia. It's heartbreaking to see such a young child suffering from severe coughing and recurring fever. I would like to ask for advice on what to do if a child with pneumonia infection continues to have recurring fevers.

Medication combined with physical cooling. Anti-inflammatory treatment can be carried out using cephalosporin antibiotics; clinically, cefdinir or cefixime granules may be selected. However, it is recommended that cefixime granules only be used for infants older than 6 months. Macrolide antibiotics, such as azithromycin dispersible tablets, can also be chosen. During treatment, parents should monitor the child's body temperature regularly. If the temperature exceeds 38.5°C, antipyretic medications such as ibuprofen granules should be administered for cooling. If the temperature remains below 38.5°C, parents may use methods like wiping the child's body with lukewarm water to reduce the fever.
