Fever accompanied by ear pain is usually caused by otitis media. Otitis media is a common condition, particularly prevalent in children, although adults can also be affected. Inflammation leads to fluid accumulation and increased pressure within the middle ear, causing pain, and may be accompanied by symptoms such as fever, hearing loss, and tinnitus.

In addition, upper respiratory tract infections are also common causes. When the upper respiratory tract is infected and becomes congested and swollen, it may increase pressure in the eustachian tube area, resulting in ear pain.

Ear conditions such as external otitis, furuncles, and otitis media can also lead to symptoms of fever and ear pain. These conditions frequently involve inflammatory irritation that damages the nerves, causing abnormal signal transmission and resulting in pain.

Patients are advised to seek timely medical attention when symptoms arise, so that a physician can make a diagnosis and provide treatment based on the specific condition. Treatment options may include the use of antibiotics, analgesics, and necessary physical therapy. During treatment, patients should ensure adequate rest and avoid self-medication to prevent delays in recovery.
