Nasal congestion caused by rhinitis is a common clinical symptom, mainly triggered by allergic, infectious, or structural factors, and can be improved through various methods.

Hot water can be poured into a cup, and then the nose can be held close to the steam to moisturize the nasal passages and help drain nasal secretions. Applying a warm towel to the bridge of the nose can improve local blood circulation and relieve nasal congestion. Massaging the nasal sinuses around the nose or applying a warm towel to the face can also help alleviate nasal blockage.

Reducing exposure to allergens such as dust mites and pollen, maintaining fresh indoor air, and using air purifiers are recommended. Regularly clean bedding, avoid smoke and harmful gases, strengthen physical health, and improve immunity. A diverse diet should be maintained, with avoidance of irregular eating habits, and a preference for light, low-fat, and low-oil meals. Smoking and alcohol consumption should be avoided, as well as spicy and irritating foods.

It is recommended to use antihistamines such as cetirizine hydrochloride tablets or loratadine tablets as directed by a physician to relieve symptoms of rhinitis including nasal itching, excessive nasal secretion, and nasal congestion. For structural causes, such as nasal obstruction caused by deviated nasal septum, surgical correction may need to be considered.
