Does a dental crown hurt?
Getting ready to get a dental crown, I feel extremely anxious. I'm afraid the pain during the procedure will be unbearable, and there might be continuous discomfort afterward. How painful is getting a dental crown exactly? Can I endure it?

Orthodontic treatment, commonly referred to as getting braces, typically involves some degree of pain or discomfort during the process, but this is generally tolerable.
Orthodontic treatment uses appliances such as braces and brackets to adjust the position of the teeth. During this process, initial discomfort, such as mild tooth pain or pressure, may occur. This is a normal physiological response as the teeth and surrounding tissues adapt to their new positions and will gradually subside within a few days to weeks.
In addition, pain may also arise during orthodontic treatment due to friction between the orthodontic appliances and the oral mucosa, or improper eating habits causing tooth pain. However, such discomfort is generally not severe and will gradually diminish as the body adapts to the treatment process and oral hygiene practices are improved.
During orthodontic treatment, it is recommended to avoid excessively hard foods, choose foods that are easy to chew, and reduce additional pressure on the teeth. Maintaining good oral hygiene also helps prevent infections and reduce discomfort.
