What should I do if I still have diarrhea after taking Changyan Ning?
I've had diarrhea for several days. I took Enteritis安宁 (Enteritis Relief), but there's been no improvement. I have bowel movements three to four times a day. What should I do?

Experiencing diarrhea even after taking Changyan Ning may be caused by various factors.
Changyan Ning is a commonly used traditional Chinese medicine primarily indicated for treating symptoms such as abdominal pain and diarrhea caused by acute gastroenteritis, bacterial dysentery, and similar conditions. If a patient continues to experience diarrhea after taking Changyan Ning, it may indicate a more severe condition or a complex underlying cause that requires more specialized diagnosis and treatment.
Possible reasons may also include intolerance or allergic reaction to the drug's components, or improper use of the medication, such as incorrect dosage or duration not in accordance with medical advice. If the diarrhea is mild and suspected to be due to an adverse drug reaction, discontinuation of the medication or adjustment of the dosage may be considered under the guidance of a qualified physician.
If the diarrhea is more severe, medications such as montmorillonite powder or loperamide hydrochloride capsules may be taken under a doctor's recommendation to help alleviate symptoms. Physical methods such as abdominal massage or applying heat to the abdomen may also help relieve diarrhea to some extent.
Maintaining personal hygiene and avoiding cross-infection are also important measures in preventing and controlling diarrhea.
