Patients with digitalis toxicity may experience symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhea; severe cases may even lead to neurological disturbances (e.g., confusion). If digitalis toxicity is suspected, prompt medical attention is essential—gastric lavage should be performed at a hospital without delay, and surgical intervention may be required in severe cases. Patients should drink plenty of water and consume bland, easily digestible foods. Digitalis medications must be taken strictly as prescribed by a physician.
