Differences Between Recombinant Vaccines and Inactivated Vaccines
Disease description:
Today, I’m taking my child for vaccination. Could you please explain the difference between recombinant vaccines and inactivated vaccines?
Recombinant vaccines typically combine major allergens through genetic engineering to replace crude allergen extracts, thereby achieving desensitization. In contrast, inactivated vaccines are generally produced by first culturing bacteria or viruses and then inactivating them using heat or chemical agents; such vaccines usually consist of whole (but non-infectious) viruses or bacteria.
