Hello, If the condition is caused by a herpes simplex virus (HSV) infection, the skin lesions contain noticeable fluid-filled vesicles during an active herpes outbreak. Transmission can occur via direct contact—for example, oral herpes around the mouth can spread through kissing—or via indirect contact, such as sharing utensils. Children are especially susceptible to infection through such indirect contact, potentially developing eczema herpeticum (a severe, disseminated HSV infection in individuals with pre-existing atopic dermatitis or other skin barrier defects). We hope this information is helpful to you. Wishing you a happy and healthy life!
