Why Is Urine Very Yellow?

Dark yellow urine may result from insufficient water intake or internal “heat” (a traditional Chinese medicine concept), or it could indicate liver or biliary tract disease or a urinary system disorder. If the urine remains dark yellow for approximately one week and does not improve despite increased fluid intake, prompt medical evaluation—including comprehensive liver and biliary function tests—should be sought to identify the underlying cause and initiate appropriate treatment.
