What are the side effects of Tripterygium wilfordii?
Disease description:
I’ve been feeling unwell recently, and my doctor prescribed a medication containing tripterygium wilfordii. Could you please tell me what the side effects of tripterygium wilfordii are?
Side effects of tripterygium wilfordii include nausea, vomiting, and gastrointestinal discomfort. It may also suppress bone marrow hematopoietic function, leading to decreased red blood cell and platelet counts. In severe cases, it can cause chest tightness and palpitations; in rare instances, it may even trigger cardiogenic shock. Additionally, cutaneous and mucosal reactions may occur after administration, manifesting as rashes and vesicles on the skin.
