Disease description:

I’ve been going to the bathroom to defecate frequently over the past two days, squatting on the toilet often, and I’m also experiencing gastrointestinal discomfort. I’d like to ask my doctor: What could be causing such frequent bowel movements?

Hello, frequent bowel movements may be due to chronic enteritis, which accelerates intestinal motility and thereby increases stool frequency. Intestinal dysbiosis impairs complete digestion of food within the gut; this leads to increased intestinal fluid volume, resulting in loose or unformed stools and more frequent bowel movements. Additionally, gastric cancer and hepatic sinusitis may also contribute. We hope the above information is helpful to you. Wishing you a happy and healthy life!
