How Should Adults Supplement Zinc?
Disease description:
I’ve recently experienced a decreased appetite. After examination, my doctor diagnosed me with zinc deficiency. How should adults supplement zinc?
Adults with zinc deficiency can improve their condition under the guidance and supervision of a physician by taking medications such as licorice-zinc granules, zinc sulfate, calcium-iron-zinc oral solution, or zinc gluconate oral solution. Additionally, incorporating zinc-rich foods into the daily diet is recommended—for example, millet porridge, beef, pork, dried shrimp, pork liver, peanuts, egg yolks, chicken liver, and marine fish. Regular outdoor physical activity should also be encouraged to enhance overall immunity.
