What is nasal cavity cancer?
Disease description:
Being diagnosed with nasal cavity cancer at my age is actually hard to accept, as I’ve always been in excellent health. Suddenly learning that I have nasal cavity cancer—what exactly is nasal cavity cancer?
The exact cause of nasopharyngeal carcinoma remains unclear. Chronic, long-standing inflammation is considered the primary contributing factor, as are repeated exposures to carcinogenic substances. Other possible causes include malignant transformation of benign tumors or trauma; genetic factors also play a role. Nasopharyngeal carcinoma predominantly occurs in individuals aged approximately 50–60 years, with a higher incidence in males.
