Disease description:

I got married not long ago, and I’m now over a month pregnant. However, I’m not ready to have a child yet, as my job situation is still unstable. Therefore, I’m considering having a painless abortion. Could you please tell me: Is a painless abortion truly completely painless?

Pain-free abortion does not mean completely painless. Many patients experience mild lower abdominal pain after undergoing a pain-free abortion procedure. This occurs because, during the procedure, surgical instruments must be inserted deep into the uterus to remove the gestational sac tissue. In this process, the uterine wall is easily scraped or injured. Consequently, once the anesthetic wears off and sensation gradually returns, patients may feel lower abdominal pain.
