Therefore, when using an infrared thermometer on the forehead, it is essential to ensure appropriate measurement conditions: avoid areas with strong air currents or significant temperature gradients. Additionally, the forehead should be dry and unobstructed to enhance accuracy. Although infrared thermometers offer convenience and speed, they are best suited for rapid temperature screening. If an abnormal temperature is detected, confirmation with a more accurate thermometer (e.g., digital oral or rectal thermometer) is recommended.
