If jaundice is confirmed, close attention must be paid to the infant’s mental status and feeding behavior. Neonatal jaundice is generally categorized into physiological and pathological types. Physiological jaundice typically resolves spontaneously within approximately seven days after onset, whereas pathological jaundice usually requires pharmacological treatment.
