This condition is likely closely related to gastrointestinal dysfunction. For the current symptom of gastric distension, symptomatic treatment with medications such as Jianwei Xiaoshi Pian (a traditional Chinese medicine for promoting digestion) or Domperidone may help improve symptoms. During this period, maintain a light diet, eat small meals frequently, and choose easily digestible and absorbable foods—such as noodle soup, wonton soup, millet porridge, plain rice porridge, or vegetable porridge—which are relatively suitable. Avoid seafood, shellfish, spicy, and irritating foods.
