What medication is most effective for treating chronic gastritis?
Disease description:
Recently, my chronic gastritis has flared up—could you advise which medication would be most effective for treatment?
Chronic gastritis is a common digestive system disorder. If chronic gastritis is accompanied by *Helicobacter pylori* infection, eradication therapy for *H. pylori* should be initiated first. In the absence of *H. pylori* infection, treatment may include acid-suppressing agents such as rabeprazole, omeprazole, or lansoprazole. Concurrently, gastric mucosal protective agents—such as sucralfate, hydrotalcite tablets, and colloidal bismuth pectin capsules—may be administered. Patients should maintain a bland, easily digestible diet, avoid spicy and irritating foods, and abstain from smoking and alcohol consumption.
