Omeprazole enteric-coated capsules are not indicated for hangover relief. This medication is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) whose primary action is to suppress gastric acid secretion and protect the gastric mucosa, making it highly effective in treating upper gastrointestinal disorders such as gastric ulcers and duodenal ulcers. It reduces gastric acid production by inhibiting the activity of the proton pump, thereby alleviating damage to the gastric mucosa caused by excess gastric acid. In contrast, hangover relief primarily involves replenishing glucose, vitamins, and adequate hydration to accelerate alcohol metabolism. Therefore, omeprazole enteric-coated capsules do not possess hangover-relieving properties, and appropriate alternative measures should be taken following excessive alcohol consumption.
