All these symptoms are caused by gastritis and gastric ulcers. Alcohol can irritate the gastric mucosa and stimulate excessive gastric acid secretion, leading to gastric pain. Patients with gastritis should abstain from alcohol. Routine treatment includes taking acid-suppressing medications, along with gastric mucosal protective agents to reduce the irritating effects of gastric acid on the gastric mucosa. Dietary adjustments are also important: patients should minimize dining out and consume easily digestible foods.
