Dr. Yang Jun
The symptoms of neurasthenia primarily manifest as a constellation of psychological and physical discomforts. Psychologically, patients commonly experience fatigue, difficulty concentrating, impaired memory, slowed mental responses, heightened sensitivity to auditory and visual stimuli, emotional instability, and increased irritability, anxiety, or depression. Physically, patients may suffer from sleep disturbances—including difficulty falling asleep, frequent dreaming, and easy awakening—leading to daytime lethargy and profound exhaustion. Additional somatic symptoms may include headache, dizziness, tinnitus, palpitations, chest tightness, indigestion, and excessive sweating. These symptoms often interact and reinforce one another, creating a vicious cycle that severely impairs quality of life. Therefore, prompt medical consultation and professional treatment are essential upon onset of neurasthenic symptoms.
