Disease description:
I went to the hospital due to a headache, and the doctor prescribed antipyretic analgesic tablets. When I went to the pharmacy to purchase them, the pharmacist asked me for the generic (chemical) name. What is the generic name of “antipyretic analgesic tablets”?
The chemical name of Antipyretic Analgesic Tablets is Compound Acetylsalicylic Acid Tablets. This medication exerts antipyretic and analgesic effects and may be used to treat fever, headache, and toothache. It must be taken orally after meals. Additionally, patients should be evaluated for peptic ulcer disease prior to use; this drug is contraindicated—or at minimum should not be administered on an empty stomach—in patients with active peptic or gastric ulcers, as it may trigger recurrence of gastric disorders.
