Should voglibose tablets be chewed?

Voglibose tablets are a medication used to treat diabetes, available in various dosage forms, including conventional tablets, chewable tablets, capsules, and dispersible tablets. Although administration methods differ slightly among these formulations, their therapeutic effects are equivalent. Importantly, voglibose tablets should not be chewed; instead, they should be taken immediately before a meal. If a dose is inadvertently missed before eating, it can be taken during or immediately after the meal without undue concern.
