How is recombinant human interferon α1b for injection administered via nebulization?
Human interferon α1b is an immunomodulator used primarily in patients with impaired immune function. It can be administered via nebulization, as follows:
1. Clear oral secretions and food residues before inhalation.
2. Prepare the nebulization solution: ① Adults: 50 μg human interferon α1b + 2 mL sterile water for injection; ② Children: 2–4 μg/kg human interferon α1b + 2 mL sterile water for injection.
3. Assume a comfortable position; place the nebulizer’s outlet close to the mouth and nose, and inhale deeply to ensure adequate delivery of the medication to the bronchi and lungs.
4. Rinse the mouth after inhalation to prevent drug accumulation in the pharynx; if using a face mask, wash the face to avoid accidental drug exposure to the eyes.
