Introduction
Hemorrhoidal nodules can be treated with hemorrhoid ointments—such as Antai Ointment or Mayinglong Hemorrhoid Ointment—under a physician’s guidance to reduce swelling and relieve pain. Diet should be kept light; spicy, irritating, and fried foods should be avoided, and regular, soft bowel movements should be maintained. If stools are excessively dry, medications such as Maren Wan (Apricot Kernel and Rhubarb Pill), Huaijiao Wan (Sophora Flower Pill), or lactulose oral solution may be taken. Generally, the above conservative measures are sufficient for management.

If complete removal of hemorrhoids is desired, surgical intervention is required. If the hemorrhoidal mass is relatively small and does not swell during daily activities, there is generally no need for excessive concern. Maintaining a balanced diet and ensuring regular, soft bowel movements can effectively prevent symptom progression. However, if the mass becomes swollen or causes pain during defecation, initial treatment may involve topical or oral medications to reduce swelling; if conservative measures fail, surgery may be considered. So, how can one eliminate small hemorrhoidal masses?

How to Eliminate Small Hemorrhoidal Masses

Small hemorrhoidal masses can be treated under medical supervision using hemorrhoid ointments—such as Antai Ointment or Ma Ying Long Hemorrhoid Ointment—which help reduce swelling and relieve pain. If constipation is severe due to hard stools, oral laxatives such as Maren Wan (Apricot Kernel Pill), Huaijiao Wan (Sophora Flower Pill), or lactulose oral solution may be used. In most cases, these conservative treatments resolve the small hemorrhoidal mass within approximately 3–5 days. When inflammatory or thrombosed external hemorrhoids develop, they manifest as hyperplastic, protruding lesions at the anal verge, accompanied by intense perianal pain, hematochezia (blood in stool), and/or constipation.

In such cases, sitting in warm water—or a dilute potassium permanganate solution—can improve local perianal circulation and alleviate pain. For severe, intolerable pain, rectal suppositories containing diclofenac sodium may be administered to provide rapid analgesia. Most patients with external hemorrhoids also suffer from constipation, which in turn exacerbates hemorrhoidal symptoms and further impairs defecation.

In daily life, maintain a disciplined diet: avoid spicy, irritating foods and overeating, and refrain from staying up late. We hope this information proves helpful to you.
