Enoxaparin Sodium Injection Method
Enoxaparin sodium is an antithrombotic medication, typically administered by subcutaneous injection in the lateral abdominal wall of the patient. The specific injection procedure is as follows:
1. Position the patient supine, expose the abdominal injection site, and raise the opposite side bed rail to prevent falls.

2. The nurse selects an area one fist-width away from the navel, assesses and confirms the injection site, then performs circular disinfection twice—once clockwise and once counterclockwise—ensuring the disinfected area has a diameter greater than 5 cm.
3. After expelling all air from the syringe, the nurse stretches the skin taut over the patient's abdomen or pinches it up, inserts the needle perpendicularly, fully inserting the needle before slowly injecting the medication.
4. After completing the injection, quickly withdraw the needle, and if slight bleeding occurs, apply pressure with a cotton swab for 5 minutes.
