Introduction
Hypoglycemia can easily trigger sympathetic nervous system activation and cerebral hypoxia, leading to symptoms such as hand tremors, pallor, and sweating. Hand tremors when hungry may also be caused by thyroid diseases such as thyroiditis or goiter, or by chronic sleep deprivation and excessive mental stress, which can lead to excessive secretion of thyroid hormones and result in hyperthyroidism.

Hand tremors when hungry are usually caused by conditions such as hypoglycemia or hyperthyroidism.

1. Hypoglycemia

Hunger indicates a prolonged period without food intake, leading to excessive consumption of glucose in the body and blood sugar levels falling below normal standards, resulting in low blood sugar. This can cause hand tremors when hungry. Hypoglycemia easily triggers sympathetic nervous system activation and cerebral cell hypoxia, leading to symptoms such as trembling hands, pale complexion, and sweating, thus causing the above phenomena.

2. Hyperthyroidism

Hand tremors when hungry may also result from thyroid diseases such as thyroiditis or goiter, or from chronic sleep deprivation and excessive mental stress, which lead to overproduction of thyroid hormones and cause hyperthyroidism. Hyperthyroidism commonly causes symptoms like increased thirst, increased appetite, and frequent bowel movements. When hunger occurs, it may accelerate glucose consumption, leading to rapid and excessive depletion of blood sugar, stimulating nerve excitability and resulting in the aforementioned symptoms.

After experiencing hand tremors when hungry, symptoms generally gradually improve following timely intake of sugar.
