Introduction
Applying a warm compress to the nose can help relieve nasal congestion. There are two specific methods: one is to soak a clean towel in hot water at 50°C, wring it out, and then place it over the nostrils; the other method involves pouring hot water into a bottle, wrapping the bottle with a towel, and using the external warmth for the compress. It is important to note that the temperature should not be too high to avoid skin burns.

Applying a warm towel to the nose is beneficial and can help prevent invasion by bacteria and viruses. If you have a cold, this method can relieve nasal congestion. Below are the correct ways to apply warm compresses to the nose:

1. Method one: Prepare a clean towel, soak it in hot water around 50°C, remove it after about 30 seconds while still hot, gently squeeze out excess water, then place the warm towel over your nostrils. Breathe deeply through your nose to inhale the warm steam, which enhances the effectiveness.

2. Method two: Pour hot water into a bottle, wrap the bottle with a towel, and place it on the nasal area for heat application. Apply this treatment three times a day, each session lasting about 15 minutes.
