Introduction
The surgical treatment for a boil begins with using a sterile cotton swab dipped in iodophor to disinfect the area surrounding the boil, and sterilizing the surgical instruments with alcohol. The doctor then administers anesthesia at the affected site, makes an incision on the abscess head with a scalpel, and uses forceps to remove the pus plug. The pus plug is completely expressed from the incision site. During the entire removal process, squeezing is strictly prohibited to prevent spreading infection.

If a boil has formed a pus plug, which is encapsulated by accumulated pus, it must be removed from inside to help alleviate pain and swelling. The specific procedure is as follows:

1. Disinfection: Use a sterile cotton swab dipped in iodophor to disinfect the area around the boil, and sterilize surgical instruments with alcohol.

2. Anesthesia: The doctor administers anesthesia around the boil to reduce patient discomfort.

3. Incision: Make a small incision on the abscess tip with a scalpel, then use forceps to gently extract the pus plug entirely from the incision site. Avoid squeezing during the entire process to prevent spreading infection.

4. Aftercare: After the procedure, follow medical advice to clean the wound repeatedly with hydrogen peroxide solution and normal saline.
