Introduction
The most common harm of using a mobile phone while lying in bed is damage to the eyes. In addition, it may also lead to insomnia and chronic strain. Prolonged use of mobile phones while lying in bed can cause eye fatigue, leading to conditions such as myopia and amblyopia. Moreover, continuously staring at the phone screen exposes the eyes to radiation and may trigger spasms of the eye muscles, resulting in spasm of the ocular visual nerve regulation.

The most common harm of lying in bed while using a mobile phone is damage to the eyes. Additionally, it may lead to insomnia and chronic strain. Prolonged use of mobile phones while lying in bed can cause eye fatigue, potentially leading to myopia, amblyopia, and other conditions. Furthermore, continuously staring at the phone screen exposes the eyes to radiation and may trigger spasms in the eye muscles—such as the pupillary sphincter and dilator muscles—resulting in spasm of the ocular nerves responsible for visual regulation.

Lying in bed while using a mobile phone suppresses the production of melatonin in the body. Once melatonin production is inhibited, the body's circadian rhythm becomes disrupted. The most immediate effect is prolonged light sleep and a significant reduction in deep sleep duration.

Using a mobile phone while lying down causes excessive drooping of the neck, unnatural body curvature, and increasing forward head posture. This posture continuously stretches the sternocleidomastoid muscle in the neck forward. Over time, this may compress the vertebral artery, increasing the risk of cervical spondylosis and chronic strain, ultimately leading to reduced cervical lordosis, straightening of the spine, or even "reversed cervical curvature."
