Introduction
A reduced cough in advanced lung cancer is often due to extreme physical weakness and worsening of the disease. It is recommended that patients promptly go to the hospital to identify the underlying cause and receive appropriate treatment under medical guidance. A decreased cough in late-stage lung cancer may also occur when the tumor has completely blocked the airway; without airflow, cough-inducing stimuli are absent, thus suppressing cough symptoms.

In advanced lung cancer, a decrease in coughing is often due to extreme physical weakness and worsening of the disease. It is recommended that patients promptly go to the hospital to identify the underlying cause and receive appropriate management under medical supervision.

A reduced cough in late-stage lung cancer may occur because the tumor has completely blocked the airway, so the absence of airflow prevents the stimulation that causes coughing. At this stage, patients are often severely weakened, resulting in insufficient strength to produce effective coughs, which also contributes to decreased coughing. Inability to expel phlegm can further worsen pulmonary symptoms. Therefore, timely medical intervention and symptomatic treatment are essential. Under a doctor's guidance, anti-tumor treatments such as appropriate radiotherapy, chemotherapy, supportive care, or targeted therapy should be implemented to prolong survival and reduce patient suffering.

Patients with advanced lung cancer should maintain a balanced diet and choose treatment methods suitable for their individual condition. Regular examinations and follow-up visits are crucial, and facing the disease with a positive attitude is strongly advised.
