The majority of a woman's stomach is located in the upper left abdomen, with a smaller portion situated in the upper right abdomen.

Under normal circumstances, the female stomach spans across the entire upper abdominal region. Most of it lies in the upper left quadrant of the abdomen, beneath the liver and near the spleen. A smaller portion extends into the right upper abdomen, adjacent to the liver and gallbladder. The top of the stomach connects to the esophageal sphincter valve, while the bottom (gastric antrum) links to the small intestine. The size of the stomach varies among individuals and is influenced by whether the person is full or hungry.

The stomach consists of five parts: the cardia, fundus, body, antrum, and pylorus. Its main functions include storing and breaking down food and liquids before passing them into the intestines for further digestion and absorption.
