How do you know if the worms have been completely eliminated after taking deworming medication?
After taking deworming medication, one can generally determine whether the parasites have been completely eliminated by observing stool appearance, clinical symptoms, and through routine stool examination.
1. Observing Stool
Typically, worm bodies may be expelled within one to two days after taking deworming medication. Therefore, during bowel movements, one can inspect the stool; if whole worms or fragments are observed, it usually indicates that the parasites have been successfully dislodged.
2. Clinical Symptoms
If appetite, complexion, and sleep patterns return to normal after taking the medication, or if previous discomfort has significantly improved or disappeared, this generally suggests successful deworming.
3. Routine Stool Examination
If the above conditions occur after taking the medication, a routine stool test can be performed. If no parasite eggs are detected in the results, it usually indicates that the parasites have been fully cleared.
In daily diet, it is recommended to thoroughly wash and cook food to help reduce the risk of parasitic infection.
